環南澳第六站收官之役，2020新科的橘衫王者也將誕生。本站從Mclaren Vale騎至Willunga Hill，總騎乘距離為151公里，爬升達1858公尺，最後更有兩個平均7.5%的登山點，賽況精彩可期。

開賽後大型的突圍集團，一路將比賽帶進威爾倫加山，也就是我們上述關鍵的兩個登山點。身處大集團的各家主將，除了拚實力，團隊精算秒差的功力同樣到位，畢竟殺到昨天為止，總排榜上的差距真的是微乎其微。Matthew Holmes（Lotto Soudal）眼見主將們在互相牽制，見縫進攻的功力了得，順利成為本站第一位過線的好手，搶下這場比賽的單站。
而今天真正的好戲，是總冠軍獎落誰家，誰也沒料到原本勢如破竹的Daryl Impey（Mitchelton-Scott）火力其實僅剩無幾，波堤獅Richie Porte（Trek-Segafredo）眼見江山正在眼前，馬上不客氣點火，直接對山頭上其他選手下重拳。

最終包括衛冕冠軍Daryl Impey，沙場好手Simon Yates（Mitchelton-Scott）、全能好手Rohan Dennis（Team Ineos）都無法回應Porte凌厲的攻勢，總成績榜塵埃落定，再度恭喜Richie Porte在今年度第一場世巡賽事，繳出如此漂亮的成績。
